Basketball CoachingI have been coaching secondary (high) school basketball since 2007 in both Ireland and Switzerland.
In Ireland I coached two separate boys teams in St.Gerald's College, Castlebar to a top 3 finish in the National 'A' Schools Basketball Competitions. In 2013 I was the coach of the victorious Leysin American School Girls Varsity Basketball team who won gold at the SGIS (Swiss Group of International Schools) 'A' Category basketball tournament. I have now been the coach of the Girls Varsity Basketball team in The International School of Lausanne since 2015 when we started a brand new Girls Team. In 2016 our team won the European Sports Conference (ESC) championship in Milan. In 2017 we successfully defended our title and won the championship again for the second year running and still remain undefeated at the competition. In April 2017 we also won the Lac Leman Schools League championship. In November 2017 we won the SGIS (Swiss Group of International Schools) 'A' Category tournament for the first time in the school's history. 2018 and 2019 continued in the same way with two more appearances in the European Sports Conference (ESC) finals, as well we winning the Lac Leman Schools League championship, the Mountain and Schools League championship and the National SGIS (Swiss Group of International Schools) 'A' Category tournament for the first time in February 2019. |
